Belmont Orthodontics was founded over 40 years ago, and Dr. Carolyn Melita joined the practice as an associate in 1989 and took the reins. Our practice is known for being very friendly, and all of our patients are treated like part of the family. Our services are very professional and of the highest quality.
Our comprehensive orthodontic treatments for children and adults include the following:

- Adult treatment for molar up-righting in preparation for bridges and implants
- Comprehensive treatment of severe malocclusions in conjunction with jaw surgery when needed

Dr. Carolyn Melita is an orthodontist with over 20 years of experience. Our staff is highly trained and many have over 15 years of experience in the orthodontic field. Dr. Melita and her team take the time to understand the concerns of each patient and to thoroughly explain each patient's orthodontic condition and the treatment options.
Digital photos are used to help patients and parents see and understand the nature of their orthodontic condition. Sophisticated graphic patient education software is used to demonstrate the various treatment options and benefits of orthodontic treatment. Digital X-rays (with up to 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays) are used in the diagnostic process. Indirect bonding is used to ensure precise placement of braces.
We create a fun atmosphere for our patients
We believe in making our patients’ experience fun and memorable. We host frequent contests, both in the office and on our Facebook page. We celebrate Red Sox opening day with an ice cream sundae party, and Halloween is celebrated with our annual candy buy-back program. Our patients are rewarded with ice cream gift certificates when braces go on and popcorn and sugarless gum when they come off. We have a "wall of fame" in our reception area with articles and photos about our patients and their accomplishments. We love to celebrate our patients and their families.
We give back to our community
Belmont Orthodontics is known for its generosity in supporting our schools and our patients' many activities and clubs. We have been a long time top-level supporter of the Foundation for Belmont Education, the Arlington Education Foundation, and the Arlington Boys and Girls club, where we award a scholarship annually to a graduating senior.
